Norma Jimenez’s 1st basic (kindergarten) students studied the city of Guayaquil last month during the celebration of the founding of Guayaquil. The students painted pictures of the city and of an area called “Las Peñas.” Las Peñas, the oldest district in Guayaquil, is located on Cerro Santa Ana (Santa Ana Hill) on the banks of the Guayas River.
